What does Alpro Physio list publicly for Ipoh?
Alpro Physio is run by Alpro Pharmacy, and its Ipoh outlet was the third in the chain. According to Alpro’s own page (accessed November 2026), it lists musculoskeletal, cardiorespiratory, stroke, neurological, paediatric, sports, women’s health and occupational health physiotherapy, with home physio and spinal traction also listed [1].
The page gives hours of 9am to 7pm. It gives the Ipoh address as No. 67, Lorong Taman Ipoh 1, Taman Ipoh Selatan, so confirm it before you go.
What did the 2019 report add?
Ipoh Echo reported in June 2019 that Alpro Physio started in Seremban in 2017 and Kuantan in 2018, with Ipoh third. It described one-to-one sessions of about an hour, and a Movement Assessment Tool used to track progress [2].
That report is some years old, so check what applies today. No price list was on the public pages we read.
Who may a pharmacy-run physio centre suit?
Based only on what is listed, it may suit people in these situations.
- Someone who lives or works near Taman Ipoh Selatan.
- Someone who wants one place for back pain, stroke, sports and children’s physio.
- Someone who likes a structured measure of progress at each visit.
- Someone who can travel and prefers to leave home for treatment.
How does a centre visit compare with a home visit?
The table puts the two side by side for the same problem, such as a knee after surgery.
| Centre visit | Home visit | |
|---|---|---|
| Travel | You go to the centre | The physiotherapist comes to you |
| Setting | Treatment room, equipment | Your own stairs, bathroom, bed |
| Who can watch | Usually the patient alone | A family member or helper can sit in |
| Best for | People who can travel and want equipment | People who tire, feel unsteady or are recovering |
Neither is better for every person. The right one depends on how hard the trip is and what the daily problem is.
When does physiotherapy at home suit better?
Take a mother who has had knee surgery. Her bedroom is upstairs in a terrace house in Ipoh, and the bathroom is at the back with a wet floor. Getting her into a car and through a car park is hard work before she even reaches the treatment room.
A home visit puts the physiotherapist on those exact stairs. Her daughter or helper can see what is safe and learn the exercises. Our home physiotherapy in Ipoh page explains each step.
Where does our centre fit?
Our Canning Garden centre, near Fatimah Hospital, is opening soon for people who prefer to come to us. Home visits are available across Ipoh now. Prices for the two differ, and we quote on WhatsApp.

What should you ask before booking?
- Does home physio reach my address, and who visits?
- What is the fee for the first session, a follow-up and any travel?
- Is the physiotherapist registered with the Malaysian Allied Health Professions Council (MAHPC)?
- How is progress measured and reviewed?
