What are these pages for?
The pages on this site give general information about physiotherapy, common conditions, recovery and choosing care in Ipoh. They help you understand what is happening and what to ask.
They cannot examine you. Only a doctor or a physiotherapist who has seen you can say what is right for your body.
Who decides what is right for you?
Your own doctor and physiotherapist decide. They know your history, your test results, your medicines and how you move.
If a page and your clinician say different things, follow your clinician and ask about the difference. When you are recovering from surgery, a stroke or a fracture, your surgeon’s instructions come first.
Are results the same for everyone?
Results differ from person to person. They depend on the condition, your general health, your age, your goals and how closely the plan is followed.
Pages here describe what is common and what research has found. After an assessment, we tell you what we expect for you and when we would review progress.
What about emergencies?
A web page is the wrong place to look in an emergency. If you or someone with you has sudden weakness on one side, trouble speaking, chest pain, severe breathlessness or a serious injury, go to an emergency department.
Our page on when to seek medical care lists the signs that need a doctor.
Where does the information come from?
Facts come from named sources, each with the date we checked it. Our editorial policy describes how we write and check pages.
Guidelines and news change, and a page may fall behind. If you spot something out of date, tell us and we will correct it.
What about other providers and outside websites?
Pages that describe other providers use what those providers publish on their own websites, read on the date shown. Details such as prices and services change, so please confirm with the provider before you book.
We link to outside websites for your convenience. Their content belongs to them, and a link does not mean we are connected to them or endorse them.
What about prices, availability and the centre?
Home physiotherapy is available across Ipoh now. Our Canning Garden centre is opening soon, and we have no date to share yet. Prices differ between home and centre, and a quote is given on WhatsApp for the plan we suggest.
Read our terms of use for how enquiries and quotes work, and our privacy policy for how we handle what you send.
How do I ask a question about my own situation?
Message us on WhatsApp and describe what is happening. We will tell you what a first assessment would cover and whether home or centre care fits best.
