Physiotherapy at our Canning Garden centre

Our centre is opening soon, and home visits across Ipoh are available while you wait.

What is the Canning Garden centre?

It is the in-centre side of Kinesio Rehab Ipoh: a physiotherapy centre at Canning Garden, near Fatimah Hospital, where you travel to us for treatment and exercise. It is opening soon, and we have no opening date yet.

Until then, a physiotherapist can come to you. Our home physiotherapy across Ipoh is available now and covers the same main areas of care.

Who will the centre suit best?

The centre will suit people who can travel comfortably and want to train with equipment around them. Think of an office worker with a stiff neck, a badminton player coming back from a shoulder injury, or a parent recovering from a sore knee who can drive.

It will also suit anyone whose home is hard to work in. A small flat with no clear floor space, or a house full of visitors during the festive season, can make a quiet room at a centre the easier choice.

Some people simply like getting out. A regular appointment gives a week some shape, and for an older adult that outing can be part of the recovery.

When is a home visit the better start?

Start at home if the trip itself is the problem. That includes the first weeks after surgery, a stroke, a fall, or any time standing and walking tire the patient quickly.

Home also lets the physiotherapist see the real stairs, bathroom and bed. A plan built on your own terrace-house staircase is more useful than one built on a clinic step.

If you are unsure, our home versus centre chooser takes a few minutes and gives you a starting point. The blog goes deeper in home versus clinic physiotherapy in Ipoh.

What will a centre visit be like?

We are still finalising the centre, so we describe what you can ask for instead of promising details. The first visit is likely to begin with a conversation about what happened, what hurts and what you want to do again.

Then the physiotherapist checks how you stand, walk, bend and use the affected part. Treatment and a short exercise plan follow in the same visit.

Ask us on WhatsApp about session length, equipment and how progress is tracked. We will answer for your case, and we will tell you plainly when something is not decided yet.

What conditions can the centre treat?

Both routes cover the main areas of physiotherapy, and a few are shown below.

The physiotherapist will tell you if a doctor or scan should come first.

How can I move between home and centre?

You do not have to choose one route forever. A common pattern is to start at home while walking is hard, then switch to the centre when travel is easy and equipment helps.

Because both routes belong to the same team, your history and your exercises can follow you. You will not need to retell the story or restart the plan.

How is pricing quoted?

Home and centre prices differ, and no price list is published yet. Send a short description on WhatsApp and we reply with a quote for the plan we suggest.

The quote depends on the condition, how frequently you need to be seen and, for home care, your area of Ipoh. If you plan to claim from an insurer, ask them what documents they need; our insurance page lists the questions to ask.

What should I do this week?

You can prepare even though the centre is not open.

  1. Write down what happened, when it started and what makes it better or worse.
  2. Collect scan reports, discharge papers and the medicine list.
  3. Decide what you want to do again, for example “climb the stairs without holding on”.
  4. Message us on WhatsApp so we can plan the start.

Questions people ask

When does the Canning Garden centre open?

It is opening soon, and we have no date to share yet. We will announce it here and on WhatsApp the day it opens. If you need physiotherapy now, home visits across Ipoh are available today, and your plan can move to the centre later.

Can I book a centre appointment today?

Not yet. Send us a WhatsApp message describing the problem and we will tell you how we can start, usually with a home visit. When the centre opens, we will tell you and help you choose which route suits each stage.

Is the centre cheaper than a home visit?

Home and centre prices are different, and neither list is published yet. Tell us the condition, the area you live in and how frequently you might need to be seen, and we send a quote for each route so you can compare.

Who should wait for the centre rather than start at home?

People who travel easily, want gym equipment close at hand and are not in a hurry. If pain is limiting your day, or you have just left hospital, starting at home now is usually kinder than waiting.

Will the centre have parking and set opening hours?

The opening hours and parking arrangements are still being settled. We will publish them on this site and share them on WhatsApp as soon as they are settled.

Every body is different. For a diagnosis that fits you, see a registered physiotherapist or doctor, and seek urgent care for sudden weakness, numbness, chest pain or severe pain after a fall.
