Home physiotherapy in Pasir Puteh

Get strong enough for the morning market again, one slow trip at a time.

What does a home visit look like in Pasir Puteh?

The physiotherapist comes to your house, watches how you move through your own rooms and starts treatment in the same visit. In an older house, that includes the steps, the yard and the back door.

The standard routine is on our home physiotherapy service page. This page covers what is particular to Pasir Puteh.

Can the morning market be the goal?

Yes. Standing at a stall, choosing vegetables, carrying a bag and walking home use the same abilities that therapy builds.

We build in stages.

  • Standing for a few minutes at the kitchen counter.
  • Walking to the gate and back, then along the lane.
  • Carrying a light bag in one hand, then both.
  • A first trip to Pasar Pagi Taman SPPK with a family member, at a quiet time.

Your doctor’s advice comes first at every stage. We tell you when to rest.

What should we check in an older kampung-style house?

Older houses are full of small hazards that are easy to miss.

  • Steps at the front and back doors, and any missing rail.
  • Floors that stay wet in the kitchen and bathroom.
  • A raised threshold between rooms.
  • An uneven yard or a slope to the gate.

Tell us what you see, with a photo if you wish. We suggest the simplest fix first, and explain what to look for before you spend money.

How do we fit a visit around prayer and meals?

Tell us the prayer times that structure the day, when the family eats and when the patient is most alert. We choose a slot between them and keep it short on tired days.

If you prefer a family member of the same gender to be present, say so, and we respect your wishes on privacy and modesty. Masjid Al-Furqan and other mosques in the area are part of the week for people here, and we can set walking goals towards them.

What if the hospital sent my mother home with new instructions?

Send us the discharge summary and the medicine list. Families in the south may come home from Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun or from a private hospital such as Pantai Hospital Ipoh.

We follow the doctor’s limits on weight, movement and medicine. Our page on older adult rehabilitation shows how a longer plan can look.

Where do I read more?

For a stroke in the family, see stroke rehabilitation at home in Pasir Puteh. The Pasir Puteh area page gives the overview, and Station 18 is a neighbouring suburb.

Questions people ask

My mother used to go to the morning market every day. Can she go again?

That is a good goal. We build up standing, walking and carrying in steps, with a rest at the end of each stage. When your doctor agrees, we plan a first trip with a family member beside her at a quiet hour.

Our yard is uneven, and the back door has a step. How should we manage?

We practise the yard and the step with the patient in the first sessions, and suggest simple changes such as a firm rail or a flat board across the worst dip. Tell us what the yard is made of.

My father wakes early for Subuh. Can the visit be at a convenient time?

Tell us when he wakes, when he rests and when he has the most energy. We suggest a slot that avoids his prayer times and meals, and shorten the session if he is tired.

The floor in our kitchen gets wet and slippery. What can we do?

Wipe spills at once and use a non-slip mat with a firm edge. Tell us about the floor and the path to the toilet. We check them at the first visit and suggest the simplest fix first.

Every body is different. For a diagnosis that fits you, see a registered physiotherapist or doctor, and seek urgent care for sudden weakness, numbness, chest pain or severe pain after a fall.
