Home physiotherapy in Silibin

Physio that fits around the school run and gets you back to the mosque or the market.

What does a home visit look like in Silibin?

A physiotherapist comes to your home, checks how you move through your own rooms and starts treatment in the same visit. The plan is built around what matters to you: the school run, the mosque, the shop.

The full routine is on our home physiotherapy service page. This page adds what is particular to Silibin.

How do I plan around school hours?

Silibin has schools nearby, including SK Silibin and SMK Tarcisian Convent, so school mornings and afternoons are the busiest hours at home. Grandparents who do the pick-up need their legs, balance and stamina at exactly that time.

Tell us when the pick-up happens. We schedule visits outside it, and build the exercises to make that walk and the wait easier.

Which exercises help a grandparent keep doing school pick-ups?

Three things matter most: standing for a while, walking steadily and crossing the road with confidence.

  • Standing practice with a short rest, building up the time.
  • Walking on level ground at a steady pace, with a stick if needed.
  • Stepping up and down a kerb, with someone beside you.

We add the ones that suit the person after we see them move. Your doctor’s advice comes first.

How do I fit in klinik kesihatan check-ups?

Klinik Kesihatan Jelapang is the government clinic listed for the area. Check-ups for blood pressure, diabetes and medicine matter for recovery.

Keep your clinic appointments. Send us the advice, and we avoid booking a visit on the same morning. If you feel dizzy, breathless or unwell during an exercise, stop and tell the clinic or your doctor.

Can the walking goal be the mosque or the shop?

Yes. A goal that matters to you keeps practice going. For some people it is Masjid Ar-Rahman for Friday prayers; for others it is the shop or a neighbour’s house.

We build towards it: inside the house, the front path, a short walk, then the full trip with a helper. We can also discuss a chair or a low stool for prayer, if sitting on the floor is not yet safe.

Where do I read more?

Questions people ask

My mother collects my son from school every day. Can physio help her keep doing it?

That is a good goal. We check her balance, stamina and how she crosses the road, then build exercises that make the school walk easier. Tell us how she travels and how long she stands waiting.

She attends Klinik Kesihatan Jelapang for blood pressure and diabetes. Does that change the exercises?

It can. Send us the clinic's advice and any limits, such as on effort or dizziness. We keep exercises within that advice and avoid booking our visit on the morning of her clinic appointment.

My father wants to attend Friday prayers at Masjid Ar-Rahman again. What should we aim for?

We break it into steps: standing from a chair, walking safely out of the house, getting in and out of the car and sitting through the prayer. His doctor and he decide which positions suit him. We practise the movements that make it possible.

I work, and Mum lives with my brother. Who should be at the first visit?

The person who helps her most should attend, so they learn the exercises and the safe way to assist. Others can join by video for the last few minutes, and we send a written summary afterwards.

Every body is different. For a diagnosis that fits you, see a registered physiotherapist or doctor, and seek urgent care for sudden weakness, numbness, chest pain or severe pain after a fall.
