Agape Mobile Physio Ipoh: what it offers

You want physio at home and are comparing the providers who come to you.

What does Agape Mobile Physiotherapy list publicly?

Agape is a mobile-only provider: its physiotherapists visit patients at home. According to its own website (accessed November 2026), transport and portable equipment are included in the fee, each session lasts 1 hour 15 minutes, you can choose the therapist’s gender, and receipts are issued for SOCSO, insurance and tax claims [1].

The site also says service starts within 24 hours of successful payment. We did not find an RM price on its home page, so ask for a quote.

What else does a directory listing say?

A WhatClinic listing says Agape began in 2017 [2]. It lists English, Hindi, Malay, Kannada, Malayalam and Tamil, and home care for sports injuries, stroke, back and neck pain, recovery after fractures or surgery, chest physiotherapy and bedridden patients [2].

Directory listings are partly self-reported, so confirm each point with Agape before you rely on it.

Who may Agape suit?

Based only on what it lists, it may suit these people.

  • A family that wants a provider whose whole service is at home.
  • A family that values a fixed session length, such as the stated 1 hour 15 minutes.
  • Someone who wants to choose a male or female therapist.
  • A household where Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada or Hindi is spoken, since those languages are listed.
  • Someone who needs receipts for a claim.

How do home-visit providers compare, fairly?

Home services look alike on a web page, so compare the same things for each. Our fuller guide, home physio services in Ipoh compared, sets them side by side.

  1. Who comes: a named physiotherapist, and is this person registered with the Malaysian Allied Health Professions Council (MAHPC)?
  2. How long is the session, and does that include travel?
  3. What does the fee include: transport, equipment, a written plan?
  4. Is the same person coming each time?
  5. What happens when the plan needs a gym or equipment you do not have at home?

Where do we fit?

We offer physiotherapy at home across Ipoh now, and our Canning Garden centre, near Fatimah Hospital, is opening soon. That suits a recovery that changes over months: a person can start with home visits after a stroke or operation and later move to the centre when ready to travel and use equipment.

Both routes cover back and neck pain, sports injuries, post-surgery care, stroke and neurological care, older adults and children. Prices differ for home and centre, and we quote on WhatsApp.

When may home physiotherapy matter most in Ipoh?

It matters most when the problem lives in the house: a flight of stairs in a terrace house, a bathroom with a wet floor, a bed that is too low. A physiotherapist who sees these can train the exact movement your parent finds hard.

It also matters when the trip is too tiring in Ipoh’s heat, or when a family member in KL, Penang or Singapore wants to arrange care from far away. Read what a home physio brings and our home physiotherapy in Ipoh page for the steps.

Where can you see other providers?

Our Ipoh physiotherapy directory lists other providers on the same rules: what they publicly state, with the source and date. Details can change, so confirm with each provider.

If another provider suits your situation better, we will say so when you message.

Questions people ask

How long is an Agape home session?

Its own site states each session lasts 1 hour 15 minutes, with transport and portable equipment included in the fee. Ask how this applies to your case and whether the first visit works the same way.

Does Agape publish prices?

We did not find an RM price on its home page. Ask Agape for a written quote, and ask us for ours, so you compare the same number of sessions.

Can I choose the gender of my physiotherapist?

Agape's site says you can. If this matters to you or your parent, ask any provider, including us, before the first visit.

Can I claim SOCSO or insurance for home physio?

Agape says it issues receipts for SOCSO, insurance and tax claims. Whether a claim is accepted depends on your insurer or SOCSO, so ask them what documents they need before you start.

How is your home physio different?

We offer home physiotherapy across Ipoh now, and a Canning Garden centre is opening soon, so a recovery can move from the house to the centre. Tell us the situation on WhatsApp and we will say how we would start.
