What does DBC Active Physiotherapy list publicly?
DBC Active Physiotherapy Rehabilitation Centre is on Jalan Dato Lau Pak Khuan in Taman Ipoh, also known as Ipoh Garden. According to its WhatClinic listing (accessed November 2026), it lists back, neck, shoulder and knee programmes, neurorehabilitation, stroke and post-operative rehabilitation, electrotherapy, hydrotherapy, lymphoedema treatment, sports therapy and taping, 6-week and 12-week programmes and home visits [1].
The same listing names Chinese, English and Malay as languages, weekday and Saturday hours, and a lift, step-free access and a car park [1]. Lymphoedema means swelling from fluid build-up, usually after surgery.
What about prices?
Directory listings do not come from DBC’s own site, so we have not copied any price from them. Ask DBC for the fee that applies to your problem.
Who may DBC suit?
Based only on the listing, it may suit these people.
- A person who lives near Ipoh Garden and can travel to a centre.
- A person who wants hydrotherapy, electrotherapy or taping in one place.
- A person recovering from stroke or surgery who prefers a centre with a lift.
- A family who wants the physiotherapist to speak Chinese, English or Malay.
- A person who likes a structured 6-week or 12-week programme.
Where can a home visit help someone who also attends a centre?
A centre cannot see what happens in the house. Falls and setbacks can happen on the stairs, in the bathroom or when getting out of bed, and a home visit puts the physiotherapist right there.
So some families keep the centre for equipment and add home visits for daily movement. In a terrace house in Ipoh, that may mean practising the stairs to the first-floor bedroom or getting up from a low bed. Read how a visit works on our home physiotherapy in Ipoh page.
What if you live in Ipoh Garden and want something close?
Ipoh Garden has Fatimah Hospital and Pantai Hospital Ipoh nearby, so families in the area meet physiotherapy after discharge from one of them. Our Canning Garden centre, near Fatimah Hospital, is opening soon, and home visits are available across Ipoh now.

What should you ask before booking?
- Is the physiotherapist registered with the Malaysian Allied Health Professions Council (MAHPC)?
- What does the programme include, and what is the number of sessions?
- What is the current fee, and is there a written quote for a package?
- Do home visits reach my address, and how is the fee set?
- How will progress be reviewed?
