What does Physio Care PMC Center list publicly?
It is a physiotherapy clinic attached to Klinik PMC in Bandar Ipoh Raya. According to an Ipoh Echo report from March 2022 (accessed November 2026), it lists ultrasound, combination therapy, neck and lower back traction, a Bobath bed, a tilt bed, suspension therapy, hand therapy and paraffin wax [1].
The Bobath bed is used for neuro-developmental conditions, and the tilt bed for stroke or bedridden patients. That report is some years old, so details can change. Please confirm with the clinic before you go.
What else does the same report say?
The report also gives opening hours, a panel-provider description from the Social Security Organisation (SOCSO), and the languages the physiotherapist speaks. According to it, the physiotherapist speaks Cantonese and Mandarin, and patients with pain of unclear location are asked to bring a doctor’s letter [2].
A price list was not on the public pages we read. Ask for the fee for the first visit and for follow-up sessions before you book.
Who may this clinic suit?
Any clinic suits the person it is easiest for. Here are the people this one may suit, based only on what it lists.
- A person who lives or works around Bandar Ipoh Raya and can travel to a clinic.
- A person who already sees a Klinik PMC doctor and wants therapy under the same roof.
- A person who prefers a Cantonese or Mandarin-speaking physiotherapist.
- A worker with a SOCSO claim, once the clinic confirms its current panel status.
- A person who wants machine-based sessions such as ultrasound or traction.
When may home physiotherapy suit you better?
Home physiotherapy suits a person who finds the trip itself hard. In Ipoh that can mean a hot afternoon, a parking space to find, a few steps at the shophouse door, and a parent who is tired before the session even starts.
A physiotherapist who comes to the house sees the real problem: the terrace house stairs, the bathroom floor, the height of the bed. The exercises are then built around those, and a family member can watch and learn them.
You can read how a visit works on our home physiotherapy in Ipoh page. For a longer comparison, see home vs clinic physiotherapy in Ipoh.
What if you want a clinic as well?
Some families use the two for different jobs. They keep a clinic for hands-on or machine sessions and add home sessions for stairs, walking and bathroom practice.
If you do this, tell each physiotherapist what the other has advised. Our Canning Garden centre, near Fatimah Hospital, is opening soon for people who prefer to come to us. Home visits are available across Ipoh now.
What should you ask any clinic before booking?
These questions work for Physio Care PMC Center, for us, and for any other provider. Our longer list is in questions to ask any Ipoh physio.
- Is the physiotherapist registered with the Malaysian Allied Health Professions Council (MAHPC), and can I see the practising certificate?
- Who will treat me at every visit?
- How long is each session, and is it one-to-one?
- What is the fee for the first visit and for follow-ups?
- Do I need a doctor’s letter, and does my insurer or SOCSO need one?
- How will we know if I am improving, and when will the plan be reviewed?
Where can you compare other options?
We keep a fair, sourced list of Ipoh physiotherapy providers in our Ipoh physiotherapy directory. It describes what each provider lists publicly, with the source and the date we read it.
If you are still unsure, send us your situation on WhatsApp. If a clinic suits you better than a home visit, we will say so.
