Why are people comparing PrimeMotion and home physiotherapy?
Because both appear when you search for physiotherapy in Ipoh, and both offer rehabilitation after stroke or surgery. The real question is how you want care delivered: at a centre or at home.
This page describes what PrimeMotion lists publicly, then looks at who each route may suit. We are a separate provider with no connection to PrimeMotion, and our aim is a fair description.
What does PrimeMotion list publicly?
According to its own website (accessed November 2026), PrimeMotion Rehabilitation & Physiotherapy Centre has one location, at Jalan Kamaruddin Isa in Fair Park, and is operated by Axel Health Group [1]. Fair Park is the part of Ipoh with Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun and KPJ Ipoh Specialist Hospital.
It lists rehabilitation for geriatric, sports, stroke and post-surgical needs, home physiotherapy, mobility training and pain management [2]. Its listed hours are weekdays and Saturday morning [3].
For stroke and neurological rehabilitation, its site describes a ceiling hoist system, which it calls the first of its kind in Malaysia [4]. This is the centre’s own description. Details can change, so please confirm with the provider.
Who may a centre visit suit?
People who can travel to Fair Park, are able to attend during the listed hours and want to use a centre’s equipment. This may include someone in recovery who can sit in a car, or a family with a driver.
Someone with a stroke who needs supported walking practice may value a centre with a hoist. Ask what the system involves and whether it suits your relative.
When may home physiotherapy suit you better?
When the problem is at home. Examples: a parent who tires after the ride, a family without a weekday driver, a terrace house with steep stairs, a worrying bathroom, or a recent discharge.
At home the physiotherapist sees the real stairs, the real bed and the real bathroom, and builds exercises around them. Read stroke rehab centres in Ipoh vs home and home vs clinic physiotherapy.
Which questions should I ask any provider?
- Who will treat me, and are they registered with the Malaysian Allied Health Professions Council (MAHPC)?
- What does the first visit include, and how long is it?
- What does a session cost, and what is extra, such as travel?
- How is progress measured, and who tells the family?
- What happens if I cannot travel on a given week?
