Home physiotherapy in Taman Pertama

For a housing area built around its jogging track, Friday night market and church.

What does home physiotherapy look like in Taman Pertama?

Taman Pertama, also called First Garden, is a housing area in the Buntong zone. A physiotherapist visits your home, watches how you move through your own rooms and starts treatment in the same session.

The plan is built around your stairs, your floor and the things that fill your week. Our home physiotherapy service is available now across Ipoh.

Can I get back to jogging on the First Garden track?

The First Garden Jogging Track is the area’s best-known place for exercise. After a sore knee, a tight calf or a hip problem, a return to jogging works as a ladder.

Walk first, then walk with short jogs, then longer jogs, with rest days between. Our sports rehabilitation page explains return-to-activity steps. If a scan or a doctor is needed first, we say so plainly.

What about the Friday night market and Pasar Buntong?

For an older person, the night market on Fridays and Pasar Buntong are reasons to go out. We build toward them in stages:

  1. Steady standing and walking inside the house.
  2. The front step and path.
  3. Short walks outside with a family member.
  4. The market route once the physiotherapist agrees.

Our older adult rehabilitation page covers balance and falls.

What should I tell you about a Buntong-zone home?

Tell us on WhatsApp:

  • The number of steps at the gate and front door.
  • Which floor the bedroom and bathroom are on.
  • Whether the floor is tiled and slippery.
  • Who is at home during the day.

Clear a path from the door and put out a firm chair. We practise the stairs and the bathroom route with a family member beside the patient.

What about a stroke or surgery?

Recovery after a stroke or surgery starts at home. Read the plan in stroke rehabilitation at home, or post-surgical rehabilitation for the first weeks after an operation.

Bring the discharge papers to the first visit, whichever Ipoh hospital the patient came from.

Questions people ask

I jog at the First Garden Jogging Track and my knee hurts. Can I get back to jogging?

Probably, in stages. We check the knee, hip and foot, look at how you land and push off, and plan a walk-jog return. If the pain needs a doctor or a scan first, we tell you. Tell us how far you run and what hurts on WhatsApp.

My father used to walk to the Friday night market at Taman Pertama. How do we get him back?

We build toward the market in steps: standing and walking at home, the front step, short outdoor walks and then the market route. We agree each stage with him and tell the family when it is safe to try.

We live near Pasar Buntong and my mother had a stroke. What does home rehab involve?

Stroke rehab at home covers transfers, walking and daily tasks in your own rooms, with the family involved. Read our stroke page for Taman Pertama, then message us the discharge papers and we plan the first visit.

Is Taman Pertama the same as First Garden?

Yes. Taman Pertama and First Garden are the same area, in the Buntong zone. Send your street on WhatsApp and we will confirm how we can help.

Every body is different. For a diagnosis that fits you, see a registered physiotherapist or doctor, and seek urgent care for sudden weakness, numbness, chest pain or severe pain after a fall.
